Howard Dean: Health Care for All

I just received an email from MoveOn.org with a note from Howard Dean, who is hitting the campaign trail for health care reform. If MoveOn gets 250,000 signatures on the following petition, Dr. Dean will deliver it personally to Congress. Here’s the text:

“Give America a choice. We support health care reform that allows individual Americans to choose either a universally available public health care option like Medicare or for-profit private insurance. A public option is the only way to guarantee health care for all Americans and its inclusion is non-negotiable.

“Any legislation without the choice of a public option is only insurance reform and not the health care reform America needs.”

You can sign the petition here.

The power of 250,000 signatures should not be underestimated. That is the power of our collective voices standing for what we believe is a pathway to better health, happiness, and longer lives.
