A Physician Weighs in

“Obama’s plan will be the downfall of quality care in the USA and all Canadian or British medical care is not typical of fast swift referral and treatment.  I see over 115 people a week here in Florida and all the Europeans come here to retire because we have the best funding, research and care in the world.

If Obama’s program goes through, we will have a shortage of physicians because already the medical school applications are down and there financially, there is no incentive to become a doctor because of fear of gov. regulated healthcare.  Plumbers make more money than some physicians and they don’t have 11 years of educational debt yet to pay off as I do.

I believe there will be US health care clinics set up for those who cannot afford private health insurance and most of the public who can afford insurance, will pay concierge rates to the best doctors to secure them for their care.   The poor will get rationed care and have to wait long hours in the clinics to be seen since as it is now, we are seeing one person every 10 minutes to break even with the cost of malpractice and operation costs of an office because the insurance companies who are the HMOs are driving us to work this way since we make about 5 to 10 dollars a visit this way.

The pendulum has to swing to some form of a happy medium.  I am not in favor of paying for the care of illegal aliens  and Americans will have to get off their asses and put some hard work into their lives to do the services that the illegals do.  We are an obese society and are creating our own crisis of diabetes, hypertension and hearth disease…..now in the young due to obesity.  This has got to stop and it has to be education….that is where the money should be spent ….in prevention!
