Health care should benefit everyone. And it should be planned according to what is best and beneficial to both parties.

Ummm... many of your inquisitive opinions have factual examples and answers. You should do your homework before you publicly opine. Research "Medicare" and the reasons for its failures. Also, you might want to look at Hawaii's venture into socialized medicine; and it's failure. As far as correlating American healthcare to the political arena, there are a couple avenues that you might want to look into:

1. Tort lawyers: who do they contribute to (politically), and how are they profiting within healthcare?
2. Liability: How is the cost of liability (maybe from lawyers?) paid for by medical institutions and then passed onto the patient?
3. The movement of healthcare from a privilege to a right within America: who benefits and loses from this change? If I receive medical treatment, yet don't have any identification, how will I be held accountable for the cost, and if I can't, who is then accountable for the cost?

I think that you will find that these three issues will account for the majority of excessive cost within US healthcare. As an experiment, try walking into a hospital, offer to pay cash or non interest monthly cash payments. Offer to sign over liability. Look at the price. Capitalism works without interference. Cheers

in the US
22000 people DIE each year because they can't afford health care. EACH YEAR!
millions go bankrupt due to medical bills and they HAVE INSURANCE.
premiums have DOUBLED since 1999, and will DOUBLE in 10 10 years.
insurance companies deny coverage, ration care, and dump you immediately when you get really sick, in a process called rescission, even if you have paid premiums for years.

all those "socialist" countries, like Canada and European companies pay less per capita and lower per GDP than us, and yet they cover everyone! EVERYONE!!!
