A new CMS pilot program lets hospitals test their ability to report clinical quality measures under the meaningful use program. Hospitals currently can submit only test data through the pilot program, but this fall the program will accept direct reports of clinical quality measures from hospitals seeking to demonstrate meaningful use for fiscal year 2012.
