One of the challenges I’ve been trying to overcome with this site is finding an easy way to invite and encourage group participation in not just the discussions, but also the contributions. If Web 2.0 is about collective wisdom, it should be easy to include the collective, right?

Until tonight, it wasn’t all that easy. I’ve been all over the Web, setting up Facebook pages, Friendfeed accounts, a Twitter account, identi.ca, Delicious, and so on. The problem I’ve had with these different accounts is finding one single avenue for everyone to share what they’re reading, responding to, thinking about, and working on, AND pulling that into one unified feed for the site.

Then I remembered Twine. For months I’ve had a Twine account and haven’t used it much. I’ve always thought of it as something useful but just wasn’t sure exactly what it was useful for. It dawned on me tonight that it is a tool that is intended for a group to use, not an individual.

That’s where YOU come in. If you have a Twine account, please log in and join our Twine here. Then go get the bookmarklet here. As you run across blog posts, tools, web sites, articles or other resources that you think would be valuable to the site, just add them to the twine by clicking the bookmarklet.

I’ve added the Twine RSS feed to our FriendFeed, so that there is a pathway out to a wider group and another venue for discussion. I’ve also created a room there to pull in the blog RSS feed, the Twine, and our Evernote feed.

If you need a Twine invitation, leave your email address in the comments and I’ll send you one right away.

This is a work in process that will only succeed with your participation. I hope you’ll join in and contribute as you can.
